With all the sit ins and protesting it stands with the Jim Crow laws. It was a doctrine to support the separate but equal rights for African Americans. All those who were for civil rights were treated in a brutal manner. Being hosed down by the police, arrested, or even killed. Abraham Lincoln help end slavery, which ended up with his death. Rosa parks gets arrested for sitting in the front seat of the bus and refuses to move. Martin Luther king jr got shot because they didn't like what he stood for. Which got me to wonder what is considered fair for African Americans? The only fair thing for these people was to stand up for what is right.
