Option #1 is definitely an interest, I'll probably write about the tool I invented for work. The process of building the tool, and how it made it so clear why I had to go to college.
Option #2 is also a good one. I have met a lot of people in my life from all parts of the country and a lot of peoples views on respect differ. I've also seen different views on respect between generations i.e., baby boomers, millennials, etc. I tend to think about this topic in my spare time and find it interesting, I could possibly even break it down to differences between respect at the workplace, home, community, general views.
