Journal Four from Zach Smith

Part One:
My favorite photograph by Harvey Wang in holding on is the Johnny Tocco's photograph. It shows Johnny standing in front of his gym with his fists up like he is ready to fight on. To me this really shows that Johnny loves what he does and the smile on his face with a cigar in his mouth couldn't be bigger. You can really tell from this picture that this man is doing something that he is truly passionate about. If you look really closely at the photograph you can see that the only shadows in the photo are the ones caused by his arms. which really allows for his happiness in what he is doing to shine threw the photograph. Even though Johnny has been having heart problems the picture shows him as alive as every and ready to kept doing what he is passionate about every sense he was a little kid and that is the sport of boxing.

Part Two:
The idea that I am holding on to is the importance of family. The idea of always having people surrounding you that will support you is very important to me. I think the traditional styled family is starting to disappear. To me its very important to hold on to that because family is the people who helped shape you into the person that you have became today. I treasure my family so much because I never have to worry about them not supporting me in whatever I do and I know that if I ever need anything that they will be there for me.
Shows a family coming together even including the past generations.
