Part 1
The character profile i think is the most interesting so far is Reverend Tanimoto. At first i wasn't drawn to his character as much, but the more the story build up I'm able to feel for this character. The passage that made my interest towards him was on page 46. "Mr.Tanimoto, ashamed of hurting wounded people, embarrassed at being able to walk upright, suddenly thought of the navel hospital ships, which had not come (it never did), and he had for a moment a feeling of blind, murderous rage at the crew of the ship, and then all the doctors. why didn't they come help these people". I can tell in this passage that he was furious and upset, and who can blame him? It made me question about why no help was give to these people? Were there limited access to the medical supplies after the bomb was hit?

my research question is how much medical access was there after the bomb was hit. It is interesting how busy hospitals were, and how people had to wait.
